The Primary section students of St.Lawrence High School and Junior College were taught about what peace is. Peace is the path we take for bringing growth, prosperity and harmony to society.

If we do not have peace and harmony then achieving cultural growth will be impossible. Moreover, before we preach the notion of peace to others, it is vital for us to possess peace within. It is not a certain individual’s responsibility to maintain peace but everyone’s duty.

The students also shared how they will implement peace in their lives by understanding each other and developing tolerance. They made the symbol of Peace and wrote, “I will not fight with my friend, I will accept my friend as s/he is.”

This activity proved that taking baby steps towards the big goal is important but taking that first step is most important!
