When concepts are taught through puppets they come alive because children can use their imagination and innovation through those characters. At St. Lawrence High School and Junior College the Grade 2 students had immense fun while learning the articles of the English language with the support of vowels & consonants and the story of phonic rhymes.

While listening to the story they used their imagination and creativity and learnt how to decide where to put “a”, “an” or “the.” They enjoyed enacting the phonic rhymes too. Thus, a very grammatical topic was taught in a fun manner to all the kids.

Learning about articles is not just theoretical but something that improves their reading skills and also their spoken English.
