The St. Lawrence High School and Junior College students are introduced to different authors and their books every month. This time they read the story book – Room on the broom by Julia Donaldson, in a playful method.

The teachers dressed up like the main character of the book – the witch – and used props and hand puppets to enact the entire story along with a verbal narration. The rhyme scheme used by Donaldson provides a rhythmic beat to any story and this performance enhanced that.

The book came alive for the students due to this unique presentation by all their teachers. Even the teachers had a great time performing the book rather than just reading it.
