Menstruation is not just a biological process, it is a powerful and profound experience that connects us to the cycles of nature and the rhythms of our own bodies. A 'Menstruation and Hygiene' workshop was organised in St.Lawrence High School and Junior College for the girls of class 6 and their mothers. Dr.Mrs. Nanda Mehta, an Anesthesiologist and Dr. Ranjit Mehta, a Gynaecologist and an Obstetrician were invited to conduct the workshop. As an Eco-conscious institution, St. Lawrence High School & Jr. College has always believed in inculcating a sense of responsibility in the students towards environment conservation. Towards this goal, a Plogging drive in collaboration with Nashik Ploggers was initiated by the school. The drive began with the students being made aware of the term ‘plogging’. The students were guided by the members of Nashik Ploggers on the trash to be collected, the safety measures while collecting the trash and the ways of disposal of trash. The students of Grade 6 celebrated the Unity in Diversity of the country through an activity. As part of this activity, the students dressed up in the traditional attire of different states. They also indulged in the traditional food enjoyed in each of our states.Through this simple activity, the students learnt how rich the culture of our country is!
