Dawn splashed a palette of orange and gold upon St. Lawrence High School & Junior College as India awoke to the 75th Republic Day. The crisp air vibrated with patriotic fervor as esteemed guests - Ms. Summan Datta, the Managing Trustee & Founder Principal of the school and Trustee Col. Vijay Kumar Datta graced the occasion.Col. Chocolate Making activity
The students of classes 8 and 9 of St. Lawrence High School and Junior College made delicious and mouth - watering chocolates as part of their Scout and Guide activity. The students added nuts, choco chips, honey, icing sugar etc. to add flavour. They made chocolates in various sizes and shapes ; oval, circular bars and blocks.This activity was conducted to develop their culinary talent and skills of making chocolates which is an all time favorite.
Makar Sankranti is around the corner and the cries of joy can be heard all over . But is celebrating our festivals at the cost of harming some species in our environment worth it? The answer is obviously a big ‘No’ and so we at St.Lawrence High School and Junior College celebrated the festival in our own unique way by organizing a ‘ Ban Nylon Manja’ awareness campaign where the students of classes 5 to 7 participated in a chart making competition and the students of class 8 participated in
A session on etiquettes and table manners was conducted for the Guides of classes 8 and 9. This session was held to instil in the students that etiquette helps us to be thoughtful about our conduct and to be aware of the feelings of others. Table manners boosts our confidence in social situation, whether at a friend’s house, restaurant or a formal event. The students took part in laying the table and in serving. The session was enjoyed by all.

Our students of class 6 and 9 have done us proud with their outstanding performance at the Homi Bhabha Balvaidyanik Exam.7 students of class 6, Siya, Abhinav, Durva, Shivam, Aryan, Aradhya and Samar along with 2 students of class 9, Maitra and Rishabh have successfully qualified for the next level of the exam.

It is our collective and individual responsibility, to preserve and tend to the world in which we all live. An exciting Inter- House Quiz Competition was held at St Lawrence High School and Junior College on the topic Nature and Environment. The Competition was conducted among four houses. The teams comprised of students from classes 7, 8 and 9. There were 5 rounds , the Questionnaire round, Spin the Wheel, Visual round, Pictionary round and Dum Charades. Orison Swett Marden Once again, the student of St. Lawrence High School & Jr. College continued the winning legacy by excelling in the literary competition held at Delhi Public School. Miss Siya Jha of class 6 bagged the 3rd prize in the Ted Talk competition where she earnestly spoke on the topic 'Wonders I Wish I Could See’.
